Coledale Markets

My friend and I ran a market stall today at the intriguing, exciting and inspiring Coledale Markets, offering a remake/jazz-up/alteration service of second hand clothes on the spot. It was called Re-Couture (witty much?). As a money making venture it was a dismal failure, but luckily making money was not what we set out to do. In the end it was a wonderful day spent sewing, talking and trying to stop our tent from blowing away.

Come and visit us next time, the markets are on the 4th Sunday of every month, and offer many more gems than just our stall. There are so many cool vintage/handmade/arty stalls that I just want to empty my bank account every month. We should have a treadle sewing machine for the next stall, taking our alterations to new heights! Bring a piece of clothing, or have a sift through our bundles, then browse through our selection of scraps/trims/laces/ribbons/buttons/beads to create your perfect piece of clothing.

See you there!
